He passed away three years ago. I decided to do a layout to honor his life and memory. After his death I found he also was in the Battle of the Bulge which lasted from Dec 16, 1944 to Jan 25, 1945. I also did my very first packet for this page. Where I could slide the story of the battle of the bulge and the letters he wrote home to my grandparents. It seems he was pretty close to his older brother (my grandfather). My grandmother even kept most if not all of his letters he wrote to them. When we cleaned out her apartment after she moved into the nursing home. This layout was part of the YTLH (YouTube Layout Hope) facebook page. We had to use buttons, brads or badge in our layout for the month of November. I chose the buttons and brads for my layout. I used the Tim Holtz idea-ology Salvage Stickers for the buttons, and the stars and little circle brads I received in a RAK. I like how it turns out hope you all like what I've done.
I have another blog for you all to look at. This is a new challenge for me. I've decided to try my hand at doing a December Daily this year. A lady that I subscribe to on her youtube channel is doing a challenge to help encourage people who haven't done a December Daily. Or, if they have done one in the past to get new ideas for future December Daily. She asked if I wanted to join her group and I decided to join. Because I like to challenge myself with new and creative ways. Also, try to think outside the box that isn't just scrapbook layouts. Have to say I enjoy doing these December Daily challenges so far. I've done two challenges by Sue, who is shiles728 on youtube. She a wonderful lady and became a good friend through youtube. She has gotten me to sometimes think outside of the box with my art. Her first challenge was to a cover for whatever you were going to use for your December Daily. That challenge is still going until Midnight November 29th 2014. So, if you're thinking of doing a December Daily you've time to check out her challenge. I also done another challenge of Sue's. She was having a 24 hour challenge this weekend. The challenge is closed as of today Nov 23rd 2014 it ran from 11am Saturday 22nd to today 23rd at 11am. But what we had to do what alter a tag for our December Daily. Since I had a tag I kept from a order. I decided to alter it for my December Daily. Hope you enjoy seeing what I done so far in my December Daily project. Before, I forget her and another lady are both doing challenges for December Daily each week I think. I'll have links to Sue's videos below for anyone who wants to check it out. If you do check her videos for December Daily. Have a look around her channel, and if you like what you see. Please subscribe to her channel. I think she would enjoy having more people enjoying her channel and videos.

Hope you all had a nice "hump day" Wednesday. I'm back to share with you another layout I did. This time I did a layout that included pets with my family. This layout I did was for a challenge one of the ladies put together. She does heritage challenges every month. This is one of my second layouts I did for her challenges. We had to find a photo with a pet or pets, family or visiting family. Or we could use a doilies. I choice two copies of photos of my paternal grandparents. One with my grandfather who had his picture taken with two ponies. These ponies weren't my grandfathers they could have been a family or friends ponies. But my grandfather did keep horses on his property for while. He would keep the horses from Mackinac Island for the winter months for while. Then later my aunt as she got older. She loved horses so she got to keep a couple of them for while.

The other picture is of my paternal grandmother with her two sons. My uncle and father when they were young boys. With the dog Rattler, my dad didn't know the name of the dog. But suddenly last night it came to him. He told me her name was Rattler, she was his Uncle's dog, and unknown cat probably a stray cat that just happened to wonder in the picture.Hope you guys enjoy this new heritage layout. Please leave me comment below tell me what you think.
It's another heritage layout this one is of my paternal great-great-grandparents. They are my paternal grandfather's maternal grandparents. I had a copy of these photos in my regular photo albums for couple of years now. I decided to finally do a layout with the pictures. These are the only known pictures of George, and Julia, that I have. I don't think they took a picture together as a couple before George's death in April 1891. The picture of George had to be taken between 1873 or 1876, but not sure on the date. The older picture of Julia, was taken around 1926 she was about 55 years old in the picture. George, and Julia, married ca 1889 or 1890. After they birth of their daughter, Nellie, they probably went to live in Forte Wayne, Ind. Where George's, died three months later he was only 27 and left a young widow and infant daughter behind. Julia, would marry for the second time in 1894 and have three more children with her second husband. I wanted to do this layout in honor of my great-grandmother and for George, so others in the family can see his picture even if it is a young childhood picture of him.
I kind of forgot about this blog for a while. But, I been doing some layouts for the past couple of weeks and decided to start posting again of couple pieces of my work. I just finished two new layouts and both are heritage layouts of my paternal side of my family. The two layouts I'm showing were for two challenges on A Cheery On Top, it a scrapbook website. The family portrait was for a heritage challenge for the month of September. The John Stilwell, layout was for a washi tape challenge. Where you use any washi tape that fits to the layout. You've to cut the ends to into a "v" to make it look like ribbon. I'm trying to figure how much is too much to put in a heritage album. But realized there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook or put an album together. I need to shop again for a few supplies like adhesives and some wet glue that for sure. Well hope you all are enjoy your week. There will be more layout posting in the next few days of my other layouts. Until then hope you all enjoy these two layouts.
It is called Grandma's Red Dress. This layout is of my grandmother and her dress. Her favorite color is red and she does look good in red. The photos were taking in June 18, 1977. What really interesting about these photos. My grandmother became a grandma for the first time a month before. When her first grandson was born in May 1977. She would wear the same dress a year later in Oct 1978. At the marriage of her daughter (my mother) to my father. So she worn this dress when she was already a grandmother for the first time. Then a year later when she watched her second child and only daughter. Get married and have a family of her own. I did journal about this layout. The empty spot on the bottom right corner just beneath the photo of my grandmother. Is where I put the journal of the story about the pictures. I decided not too long ago to not write the journal until after I took the picture. Because sometimes I write more information about my family. That I don't want everyone to see. I do sometimes write a lot on my journal and then snap the picture of the layout. But it depends on the layout and what the story about.
Art Journal #1Hello everyone I have a little bit something different for you all. I decided to try my hand at art jouranling. I always thought it look fun from watching some youtube clips. There was an idea that I wanted to do for sometime. So, I decided to take the chance and just go with it. I'd some blank pages in my sketch book. I'd from my college days a few years ago. I decided to maybe start filling it up with some art journal and mix media art. I figure this could maybe give me outlet and express my thoughts and feelings towards coming up with new art work. This piece I did is called Where my Heart Going?

It's mainly about if I ever will have that special someone in my life. Maybe get married someday and raise a family of my own. Because I realize as I get older in my early 30s now. I don't really want to be alone all my life. Because it can get lonely at times. I like the idea of growing old with someone. Hope you like my first art journal and check back for maybe some more posted on this blog in the future.
It been a great sunny weather here in Michigan. I thought I'd share some layouts I did for National Scrapbook Day! Which was held on May 3rd. I decided to enter at least four challenges on Scrapbook.com. It was my second year participating in the challenges. I got four now where as I only got three done last year. They were fun challenges. Guess what a week later on May 8th. I was announces one of the ten lucky winners of one of the challenges I won. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my "name" (username) on the list of winners. I was like whoa I won a second time in a row. I was a happy kid. I got my prize pack a week later. I'll post the video of me opening my prize pack in another blog post later. Hope you all enjoy looking at these layouts I did for the challenges. I also showed them in a video too. But decided to do two parts to that video because I didn't want it to be super long. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend! For all those here in the states. Not sure if others around the world celebrate memorial day. I'm sure they do but it's probably call veterans day else where. No, matter I wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day around the world. Please remember those soldiers that fought for your country.

I'm back again with another layout to share with you all. This one was for a challenge on Youtube. I subscribe to this lady channel a few months ago. She a kind and nice lady always leaving me such nice comments on my videos. Her challenge was we had to use a photo we thought was fun to us. Also we had to use flowers in our layout too. It could have been die cut, paper, any kind of flower like embellishment. We had to explain why the photo was fun to us. Well I decided to do this challenge. I enjoyed how it turned out in the end. I hope you all enjoy not only the picture of my layout. But also my video showing my entry into the challenge. Now I didn't win the challenge. But I enjoyed making this layout. I'll be doing a few more challenges on Saturday for National Scrapbook Day! I like some of the challenges on Scrapbook.com also on A Cherry On Top will be enjoining in some of their challenges. I hope to get a few more layouts done on that day. It'll be my second year involved with national scrapbook day. It a good day to get some layouts done and be inspired with interesting and new challenges.
But I'm back with a few more heritage layouts for you. Some of these layouts I got inspired to do by seeing other people's layouts online. But I used my own touch on it. These layouts are of my mother side of the family. Hope you all enjoy the pictures below. Also I added the supplies below each of the layouts. That I used.

The snow has been melting away fast. It seems like Spring coming soon. I'll be able to open my bedroom window soon. It'll be nice to get some fresh air through my bedroom/art studio. Hope you all are having a great week so far? Stay tune for a few more updates before the week ends.
This is a layout of my maternal great great-grandmother. My mother has said this is the only "grandmother" she ever got to know. Since my mother's grandmother died at the age of 41. This is my mother's great-grandmother (her grandmother's mother) She was said to be a sweet, loving person to her family. I guess you can tell from just looking at her photo. She must have been a happy lady. She probably had her moments like we all do. But just from looking at this photo as well as other photos of her. Her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She did have 13 children at least 9 of them lived to adulthood and went on to have families of their own.
This is the backside of the same project life history layout. Most of the products used in this layout are the same as what I listed in the above layout. The only other products I used is clear photo corners for the two original photos in the two bottom photo pockets. The foral pattern paper I used to matted the two original photos. I got in a rak from a friend. So don't remember the name of the paper. But thought it fit with the photos nicely. Hope you all enjoy my new layout. I still have to do a layout share video with these layouts. To put on my youtube channel. I hope to do that before the weekend is over. If I get it film and up. I'll make sure to posted on here for you all to see. Well hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your day.
Hope you all enjoy this one. I really like how it turned out. I also did my first process video with this layout from start to finish! I now have respect for people who make process videos of their layout. I don't know if I'm going to keep doing process video layouts. I'm thinking of making a mixtures of process videos and maybe some videos of just me talking about the layout the stories and what products I used to make it. I got inspired to do a process video for the first time. From a lady who process videos I just started to watch. Her name is Samantha Wrigth. She form the United Kingdom! I'm finding a few "new" friends on YouTube from the United Kingdom. It pretty cool if I say so myself!
<span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">Hope you enjoy the layout and especially the process video too. Let me know what you think from the process video. I'd really value your opinions. Have a great weekend.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I know I've been terrible at keeping up with this blog. Shame on me. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. They got what they wanted from "Santa." I'd a good Christmas visited with family members and had a good dinner too. I forgot to take some pictures of the food!, lol. But took some pictures of squirrels in our yard. There were five of them eating out of my dad's bird feeder. Even some of the birds were brave enough to join the squirrels for a bit to eat!

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">I've been doing some scrapbook layouts the last couple of weeks. Just haven't found the time to get the camera out and film them. Or even if I did share them on film I didn't post the pictures just yet. I almost forgot I had this blog... So, you might see some more updates from me in the next couple of days or even weeks. With some scrapbook layouts. I even did my very first "Project Life" layout. In the form of a heritage page. It was pretty cool and easy to do. But still enjoy the 12x12 layouts. I'll be mixing up between the 12x12 and Project Life style layouts for my heritage pages and other layouts. I even found some 4x6 photo refills a few weeks ago. My dad bought me a few years ago. They were still in the package unopened. So, will be using those for my layouts. Well hope you all enjoy your Sunday! Have a great New Years and stay safe!
It been a while since I have been on here. I think I should put some more of my layouts. I did the past few weeks on here for you all to see. I been doing well just trying to keep myself busy as one can be. Hope you enjoy the new layouts and having a good week so far? Let me know what you think...

I'll put up a video of the layouts. You see below as soon as I get one done. There at least two or three more layouts I'd show you. But some of my family are still living. I wanted to protected their privacy. Since, I didn't ask their permission before hand. I have one of my videos posted below of some my layouts I didn't posted on my blog. If you see a layout with white paper covering the pictures. It's because I'm protecting my living family members privacy.
I realize I shared a layout in my layout share video. I didn't share in my last post. Because when I posted my pictures of my layout I didn't start this layout until the day after posting on my blog. The layout you see below is of my father when he was a little boy. The three photos are the original photos. Before I scan the pictures and information into my external hard drive. I always check the back of the original photo to see if my grandmother put information like year, date or writing of information on back of the photo. Luck would have it I found some information written on the back of the small wallet size school picture of my dad. It the small picture on the right hand side of the layout. She wrote how tough he looked in his school pictures. I decided to scan it and print it out to put in my layout. I like how it all came together. The picture on the far left side of the layout is my father in a cowboy uniform. He looks tough in that picture too. Hope you all enjoy look at it.

If you want to know what products or papers I used. If you haven't already go back to my recent post and watch the Heritage layout video you'll see the layout. Thanks for stopping by and the support you all shown me by either visiting my blog and/or leaving nice comments I really do appreciated it.
The prize I won in one of the challenges on Scrapbook.com they were having for National Scrapbook Day! It was awesome prize pack. I'll be playing with some of these items I received over the weekend. I don't know how I'll use some of these in my heritage layouts. But I'll find a way to put them to use that for sure. Here a video of me showing you what I got as my prize. I would have taken some pictures but thought to show you all in a video would be better.

Hope everyone doing well this Thursday evening or Friday if you're else where in the world... I thought I would share with you guys a new little machine. I got yesterday in the mail. I always was trying to find something that I could print 4x6 or smaller photos. That were good quality prints you could get. When you would take your pictures in to the store to get printed. I did a search online and came across this photo machine. That doesn't take up too much room and from what I saw on YouTube from people who bought it. It seems to print out good quality photos. I still think my Kodak all in one printer. Gives me good quality prints. But wanted to find something where I could save a little bit of money on ink with my bigger printer. I'll still use the Kodak for my bigger 5x7 and 8x10 prints once in while.
So, I decided to go on amazon.com and look it up and they did have it. I saw amazing reviews there were some negative things said about the machine. But there were more good then bad reviews. I always look at the reviews of an item before I buy it. It was only about $73.69 on amazon.com. I decided to go ahead and buy it. I realize that even though it was on amazon website. It was not sold by them but by a company called Beach Camera.com I have to say they are also quick at sending out their products. I order it on Sunday they send it out the next day. It came to my door Wednesday Morning. I also order extra photo and ink for the printer. But it came shipped separate since it was sold by amazon. It came this morning. So decided to take a picture of both to show you. I guess to show off my products, lol.

I'm doing to play with it tonight I might do update on my thoughts probably either write about it and put it on here. Or do a video and give you guys my opinions on it. Probably show you some of the pictures I printed out. One thing I can say about this printer. It comes with it own set of papers and each has it own ink to. No more guessing how much ink you have. From what I heard you put the paper and ink in. Once you print all your pictures. If you decide to use another pack of paper. You push print it won't print because it used all of it ink for the other papers. The pack it comes with three inks and I believe 36 sheets of paper that makes up to 108 sheets of paper. The ink in the pack can print up to 36 sheets. So, if you used another sheet of paper make sure you use new ink that comes with it. Hope that make sense to you all. If you don't have one look it up on Youtube and there some people who can explain it better then I can.

I forgot to tell you guys I won my very first challenge. I won in the Washi Tape Challenge. I know it was a random computer pick! But still excited to know I won something. It'll be send out sometime next Monday or by Wednesday at the latest. When I get my prize in the mail I'll show you guys. I know it has to be scrapbook related, lol. Anyways hope you all are doing well. Now I should go and start playing with this little guy. Check back for UPDATE! on my thoughts either in writing or in a video! on the Canon Selphy CP900 right here on this post.

UPDATE: All I got to say is this is one nice little printer... I printed with the 5 photo paper that came with the printer. I used up my first 36 sheets of paper already. I had fun with it. It did cut off a bit but nothing where you don't know what or who it is. But I guess I just have to keep playing with it. I didn't explain in the video. But I installed the CD it came with. It cool software there one where you can use couple of different decorative frames. I got it to work wireless so no usb cord for this guy! All I have to do is open the software put in some photos and push print. I also used my memory card to print off pictures too. I think I like the computer part better. But will use the memory card when I'm away from the computer.

Here a video of my thoughts on this printer. Enjoy! Be warn! it a long video... Sorry just don't know when to shut up! lol.
