Heritage of the Past...

Hi everyone hope all well with you all. I come back with more new layouts to share. Most of these are heritage layouts. It is a cold Saturday morning here in Michigan. But even if there snow on the ground it still a beautiful one.

The first layout is of my father's family reunion in Aug 1969. The two photos are the original and make this layout from a sketch by Becky Fleck.
Products Used:

American Craft Studio Calico white stickers
Black Photo Corners (to secure the photos)
Blue Chevron washi tape
Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive
Scotch Craft Glue

This is a layout of my maternal great great-grandmother. My mother has said this is the only "grandmother" she ever got to know. Since my mother's grandmother died at the age of 41. This is my mother's great-grandmother (her grandmother's mother) She was said to be a sweet, loving person to her family. I guess you can tell from just looking at her photo. She must have been a happy lady. She probably had her moments like we all do. But just from looking at this photo as well as other photos of her. Her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She did have 13 children at least 9 of them lived to adulthood and went on to have families of their own.
Product Used:
Paper Studio: Worn and Clattered  and DCWV Heirloom Stack paper
Maggie Holmes embellishment

Prima Rasptool distressing tool

This is the front of project life history style layout. This is of the same maternal great great grandmother you saw in the layout above. I decided to add more pictures of her through out her life. I try to keep in in order.
Product Used:
We R Memory Keepers 4x6 page protector
American Craft Studio Calico Snippets Collection 6x6 Paperpad
Glitz Pack Afternoon Muse 8x8 Paperpad
Colorbox InkPad (Pool and Cupid)
Special Moments Hand Made Stickers Autcollantes (flowers)
American Crafts Glass Slipper (Glitter Puffy Letter Stickers)
Fiskars Corner Punch
 Scotch Quick- Dry Adhesive

This is the backside of the same project life history layout. Most of the products used in this layout are the same as what I listed in the above layout. The only other products I used is clear photo corners for the two original photos in the two bottom photo pockets. The foral pattern paper I used to matted the two original photos. I got in a rak from a friend. So don't remember the name of the paper. But thought it fit with the photos nicely. Hope you all enjoy my new layout. I still have to do a layout share video with these layouts. To put on my youtube channel. I hope to do that before the weekend is over. If I get it film and up. I'll make sure to posted on here for you all to see. Well hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your day.

Big Brother Little Brother double page layout.

Hey everyone I'm coming to ya with another page layout. Hope you all enjoy this one. I really like how it turned out. I also did my first process video with this layout from start to finish! I now have respect for people who make process videos of their layout. I don't know if I'm going to keep doing process video layouts. I'm thinking of making a mixtures of process videos and maybe some videos of just me talking about the layout the stories and what products I used to make it. I got inspired to do a process video for the first time. From a lady who process videos I just started to watch. Her name is Samantha Wrigth. She form the United Kingdom! I'm finding a few "new" friends on YouTube from the United Kingdom. It pretty cool if I say so myself!

If you haven't check out her blog. I just followed her blog today. She has pictures of her layouts including videos of her process videos from her YouTube channel posted on there.
Hope you enjoy the layout and especially the process video too. Let me know what you think from the process video. I'd really value your opinions. Have a great weekend.

Hope all had a good Holiday....

Hi Folks,

I know I've been terrible at keeping up with this blog. Shame on me. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. They got what they wanted from "Santa." I'd a good Christmas visited with family members and had a good dinner too. I forgot to take some pictures of the food!, lol. But took some pictures of squirrels in our yard. There were five of them eating out of my dad's bird feeder. Even some of the birds were brave enough to join the squirrels for a bit to eat!

I've been doing some scrapbook layouts the last couple of weeks. Just haven't found the time to get the camera out and film them. Or even if I did share them on film I didn't post the pictures just yet. I almost forgot I had this blog... So, you might see some more updates from me in the next couple of days or even weeks. With some scrapbook layouts. I even did my very first "Project Life" layout. In the form of a heritage page. It was pretty cool and easy to do. But still enjoy the 12x12 layouts. I'll be mixing up between the 12x12 and Project Life style layouts for my heritage pages and other layouts. I even found some 4x6 photo refills a few weeks ago. My dad bought me a few years ago. They were still in the package unopened. So, will be using those for my layouts. Well hope you all enjoy your Sunday! Have a great New Years and stay safe!

Here are few pictures I took on Christmas Day! and a video of what I got for Christmas. I guess you can call it a Christmas Haul!

My dad the Tough Boy?

Hey folks I just updated my last post with videos of my layout share. I realize I shared  a layout in my layout share video. I didn't share in my last post. Because when I posted my pictures of my layout I didn't start this layout until the day after posting on my blog. The layout you see below is of my father when he was a little boy. The three photos are the original photos. Before I scan the pictures and information into my external hard drive. I always check the back of the original photo to see if my grandmother put information like year, date or writing of information on back of the photo. Luck would have it I found some information written on the back of the small wallet size school picture of my dad. It the small picture on the right hand side of the layout. She wrote how tough he looked in his school pictures. I decided to scan it and print it out to put in my layout. I like how it all came together. The picture on the far left side of the layout is my father in a cowboy uniform. He looks tough in that picture too. Hope you all enjoy look at it.

If you want to know what products or papers I used. If you haven't already go back to my recent post and watch the Heritage layout video you'll see the layout. Thanks for stopping by and the support you all shown me by either visiting my blog and/or leaving nice comments I really do appreciated it.
