Hello everyone I have a little bit something different for you all. I decided to try my hand at art jouranling. I always thought it look fun from watching some youtube clips. There was an idea that I wanted to do for sometime. So, I decided to take the chance and just go with it. I'd some blank pages in my sketch book. I'd from my college days a few years ago. I decided to maybe start filling it up with some art journal and mix media art. I figure this could maybe give me outlet and express my thoughts and feelings towards coming up with new art work. This piece I did is called Where my Heart Going?
It's mainly about if I ever will have that special someone in my life. Maybe get married someday and raise a family of my own. Because I realize as I get older in my early 30s now. I don't really want to be alone all my life. Because it can get lonely at times. I like the idea of growing old with someone. Hope you like my first art journal and check back for maybe some more posted on this blog in the future.

Hello There.
Hello everyone hope you're all having a great Sunday evening. It been a great sunny weather here in Michigan. I thought I'd share some layouts I did for National Scrapbook Day! Which was held on May 3rd. I decided to enter at least four challenges on Scrapbook.com. It was my second year participating in the challenges. I got four now where as I only got three done last year. They were fun challenges. Guess what a week later on May 8th. I was announces one of the ten lucky winners of one of the challenges I won. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw my "name" (username) on the list of winners. I was like whoa I won a second time in a row. I was a happy kid. I got my prize pack a week later. I'll post the video of me opening my prize pack in another blog post later. Hope you all enjoy looking at these layouts I did for the challenges. I also showed them in a video too. But decided to do two parts to that video because I didn't want it to be super long. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Memorial Day weekend! For all those here in the states. Not sure if others around the world celebrate memorial day. I'm sure they do but it's probably call veterans day else where. No, matter I wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day around the world. Please remember those soldiers that fought for your country.

FingerPaint to Spring... :)
I'm back again with another layout to share with you all. This one was for a challenge on Youtube. I subscribe to this lady channel a few months ago. She a kind and nice lady always leaving me such nice comments on my videos. Her challenge was we had to use a photo we thought was fun to us. Also we had to use flowers in our layout too. It could have been die cut, paper, any kind of flower like embellishment. We had to explain why the photo was fun to us. Well I decided to do this challenge. I enjoyed how it turned out in the end. I hope you all enjoy not only the picture of my layout. But also my video showing my entry into the challenge. Now I didn't win the challenge. But I enjoyed making this layout. I'll be doing a few more challenges on Saturday for National Scrapbook Day! I like some of the challenges on Scrapbook.com also on A Cherry On Top will be enjoining in some of their challenges. I hope to get a few more layouts done on that day. It'll be my second year involved with national scrapbook day. It a good day to get some layouts done and be inspired with interesting and new challenges.

Hey everyone I know it been a while. But I'm back with a few more heritage layouts for you. Some of these layouts I got inspired to do by seeing other people's layouts online. But I used my own touch on it. These layouts are of my mother side of the family. Hope you all enjoy the pictures below. Also I added the supplies below each of the layouts. That I used.
The snow has been melting away fast. It seems like Spring coming soon. I'll be able to open my bedroom window soon. It'll be nice to get some fresh air through my bedroom/art studio. Hope you all are having a great week so far? Stay tune for a few more updates before the week ends.

This layout is of my maternal great-great-great-grandfather
I found this picture on Ancestry.com and I saved it to my gallery
page in my family tree on the site. I finally decided to use the picture
for my mother side of the family heritage album. I'd to fix the photo
a little bit in Photoshop CS5. I then printed the photo to the size 5x7.
From my Kodak ESP 3250 All in one Printer. I printed on Kodak Paper
for a better print quality. It's always good to print your photos with the
same paper brand for your printer. But I also used different photo paper
and they all came out OK.

Products Used:

Strip of paper Colorbox, DCWV Heirloom Stack
Bo Bunny ET Cetera paper
Martha Stewart Photo Corner and Hydrangea Punches
American Craft Studio Calico white stickers

Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive
Scotch Craft Glue
This is a layout of my maternal great great-grandmother. My mother has said this is the only "grandmother" she ever got to know. Since my mother's grandmother died at the age of 41. This is my mother's great-grandmother (her grandmother's mother) She was said to be a sweet, loving person to her family. I guess you can tell from just looking at her photo. She must have been a happy lady. She probably had her moments like we all do. But just from looking at this photo as well as other photos of her. Her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life. She did have 13 children at least 9 of them lived to adulthood and went on to have families of their own.
Product Used:
Paper Studio: Worn and Clattered and DCWV Heirloom Stack paper
Maggie Holmes embellishment
Flowers, Bird and Butterfly stickers: Special Moments Handmade Stickers Autocollantes
Black Photo Corner
Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive
Scotch Craft Glue Stick
Prima Rasptool distressing tool
Carta Bella - So Noted 4x6 journal card
Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distressing Inkpad
This is the front of project life history style layout. This is of the same maternal great great grandmother you saw in the layout above. I decided to add more pictures of her through out her life. I try to keep in in order.
Product Used:
We R Memory Keepers 4x6 page protector
American Craft Studio Calico Snippets Collection 6x6 Paperpad
Glitz Pack Afternoon Muse 8x8 Paperpad
Colorbox InkPad (Pool and Cupid)
Special Moments Hand Made Stickers Autcollantes (flowers)
American Crafts Glass Slipper (Glitter Puffy Letter Stickers)
Fiskars Corner Punch
Scotch Quick- Dry Adhesive
This is the backside of the same project life history layout. Most of the products used in this layout are the same as what I listed in the above layout. The only other products I used is clear photo corners for the two original photos in the two bottom photo pockets. The foral pattern paper I used to matted the two original photos. I got in a rak from a friend. So don't remember the name of the paper. But thought it fit with the photos nicely. Hope you all enjoy my new layout. I still have to do a layout share video with these layouts. To put on my youtube channel. I hope to do that before the weekend is over. If I get it film and up. I'll make sure to posted on here for you all to see. Well hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your day.
