Hope all had a good Holiday....

Hi Folks,

I know I've been terrible at keeping up with this blog. Shame on me. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. They got what they wanted from "Santa." I'd a good Christmas visited with family members and had a good dinner too. I forgot to take some pictures of the food!, lol. But took some pictures of squirrels in our yard. There were five of them eating out of my dad's bird feeder. Even some of the birds were brave enough to join the squirrels for a bit to eat!

I've been doing some scrapbook layouts the last couple of weeks. Just haven't found the time to get the camera out and film them. Or even if I did share them on film I didn't post the pictures just yet. I almost forgot I had this blog... So, you might see some more updates from me in the next couple of days or even weeks. With some scrapbook layouts. I even did my very first "Project Life" layout. In the form of a heritage page. It was pretty cool and easy to do. But still enjoy the 12x12 layouts. I'll be mixing up between the 12x12 and Project Life style layouts for my heritage pages and other layouts. I even found some 4x6 photo refills a few weeks ago. My dad bought me a few years ago. They were still in the package unopened. So, will be using those for my layouts. Well hope you all enjoy your Sunday! Have a great New Years and stay safe!

Here are few pictures I took on Christmas Day! and a video of what I got for Christmas. I guess you can call it a Christmas Haul!

My dad the Tough Boy?

Hey folks I just updated my last post with videos of my layout share. I realize I shared  a layout in my layout share video. I didn't share in my last post. Because when I posted my pictures of my layout I didn't start this layout until the day after posting on my blog. The layout you see below is of my father when he was a little boy. The three photos are the original photos. Before I scan the pictures and information into my external hard drive. I always check the back of the original photo to see if my grandmother put information like year, date or writing of information on back of the photo. Luck would have it I found some information written on the back of the small wallet size school picture of my dad. It the small picture on the right hand side of the layout. She wrote how tough he looked in his school pictures. I decided to scan it and print it out to put in my layout. I like how it all came together. The picture on the far left side of the layout is my father in a cowboy uniform. He looks tough in that picture too. Hope you all enjoy look at it.

If you want to know what products or papers I used. If you haven't already go back to my recent post and watch the Heritage layout video you'll see the layout. Thanks for stopping by and the support you all shown me by either visiting my blog and/or leaving nice comments I really do appreciated it.

My NSD Prize Video Share....

I thought to share with some of you following my blog. The prize I won in one of the challenges on Scrapbook.com they were having for National Scrapbook Day! It was awesome prize pack. I'll be playing with some of these items I received over the weekend. I don't know how I'll use some of these in my heritage layouts. But I'll find a way to put them to use that for sure. Here a video of me showing you what I got as my prize. I would have taken some pictures but thought to show you all in a video would be better.

UPDATE: New photo printer! Canon Selphy CP900 Wirless 4x6 photo printer

Hey

Hope everyone doing well this Thursday evening or Friday if you're else where in the world... I thought I would share with you guys a new little machine. I got yesterday in the mail. I always was trying to find something that I could print 4x6 or smaller photos. That were good quality prints you could get. When you would take your pictures in to the store to get printed. I did a search online and came across this photo machine. That doesn't take up too much room and from what I saw on YouTube from people who bought it. It seems to print out good quality photos. I still think my Kodak all in one printer. Gives me good quality prints. But wanted to find something where I could save a little bit of money on ink with my bigger printer. I'll still use the Kodak for my bigger 5x7 and 8x10 prints once in while.
So, I decided to go on amazon.com and look it up and they did have it. I saw amazing reviews there were some negative things said about the machine. But there were more good then bad reviews. I always look at the reviews of an item before I buy it. It was only about $73.69 on amazon.com. I decided to go ahead and buy it. I realize that even though it was on amazon website. It was not sold by them but by a company called Beach Camera.com I have to say they are also quick at sending out their products. I order it on Sunday they send it out the next day. It came to my door Wednesday Morning. I also order extra photo and ink for the printer. But it came shipped separate since it was sold by amazon. It came this morning. So decided to take a picture of both to show you. I guess to show off my products, lol.

I'm doing to play with it tonight I might do update on my thoughts probably either write about it and put it on here. Or do a video and give you guys my opinions on it. Probably show you some of the pictures I printed out. One thing I can say about this printer. It comes with it own set of papers and each has it own ink to. No more guessing how much ink you have. From what I heard you put the paper and ink in. Once you print all your pictures. If you decide to use another pack of paper. You push print it won't print because it used all of it ink for the other papers. The pack it comes with three inks and I believe 36 sheets of paper that makes up to 108 sheets of paper. The ink in the pack can print up to 36 sheets. So, if you used another sheet of paper make sure you use new ink that comes with it. Hope that make sense to you all. If you don't have one look it up on Youtube and there some people who can explain it better then I can.

I forgot to tell you guys I won my very first challenge. I won in the Washi Tape Challenge. I know it was a random computer pick! But still excited to know I won something. It'll be send out sometime next Monday or by Wednesday at the latest. When I get my prize in the mail I'll show you guys. I know it has to be scrapbook related, lol. Anyways hope you all are doing well. Now I should go and start playing with this little guy. Check back for UPDATE! on my thoughts either in writing or in a video! on the Canon Selphy CP900 right here on this post.

UPDATE: All I got to say is this is one nice little printer... I printed with the 5 photo paper that came with the printer. I used up my first 36 sheets of paper already. I had fun with it. It did cut off a bit but nothing where you don't know what or who it is. But I guess I just have to keep playing with it. I didn't explain in the video. But I installed the CD it came with. It cool software there one where you can use couple of different decorative frames. I got it to work wireless so no usb cord for this guy! All I have to do is open the software put in some photos and push print. I also used my memory card to print off pictures too. I think I like the computer part better. But will use the memory card when I'm away from the computer.

Here a video of my thoughts on this printer. Enjoy! Be warn! it a long video... Sorry just don't know when to shut up! lol.

Hunting Season layout + two photos

Hi everyone I thought to show you my latest layout I did about a week or two ago. This layout is called Hunting Season. I wanted to do a layout with the photo of my grandfather deer and the photo of my grandfather with his nephew. The photo with his nephew was taken while they were hunting not sure. Anyway, my father told me a story of his dad with the deer. So, I had to do a scrapbook layout with the two pictures. I finally got to try my Ingnild Bolme Prima distressing tool I got from A Cherry On Top. I really like how it distressed my orange paper.

I also decided to put two old 1910's or 1920's photos I colorize and I like how they turned out. These old photos were in a old snapshot book. It was my grandma's but I don't think it is any relation to us. She probably bought it from a yard sale. I often wonder why people sale their family photos. I wouldn't sale my family photos.  I will make sure when I die in my will. That all my photos that has people in them be giving to someone in the family that will take care of them.

Anyways it was in a old photo book the pages were getting brittle and I decided to buy some un-du remover. It where you can remove sticker, tape and Label from just about anything from scrapbook to photo album. Some of the photos were easy to get off some were not even with the un-du remover. But I scan them before removing them from the album. After I remove them and put them in photo box. I decided to fix all of them in photoshop. I still got few to finish but half of them are restored and saved. I decided to take at least two and colorized them. I enjoy it and it helps me keep up with my skills. Hope you enjoy looking at them and give me some comments on what you think.

A Cherry On Top Haul Video

Hello everyone,

Hope your Thursday evening is going well. I bought some more scrapbook supplies I know I said I wasn't going to buy anymore items. But a lady who follows my channel on YouTube send me a list of some online stores. So, I check them all out and realize that A Cherry on Top online store is based in Michigan in the next county where I live. I decided to check them out and liked some of their items. So, I decided to make an account and put some items on my wish list. Monday evening I order my items and they came in the mail today. It is the fastest shipment I had in while. I liked how they ship my package to me all the items were in a big 12x12 plastic bag.
You all know me by now I did a haul video. To show all of you what I got. But I'm only doing a video. I haven't took any pictures of my items thought the video is probably the only thing you like to see? Plus, didn't feel like take out the camera to take a picture of each items. I know shame on me since I enjoy photography but when you got about 26 items of scrapbook supplies!, lol. Or maybe I'm just having somewhat of a lazy camera day.

Speaking of camera or photography in general I should take my camera out more and take some pictures. Hope you all enjoy the video of my items have to say I look good in my haul video! I normally don't say that about myself maybe it the 5 O'clock Shadow! lol. Anyways have a great one guys!

2 Layouts and a layout video

Hey everyone hope you are having a good week so far?  I did two layouts of my grandfather and his family. I'm almost done with my grandmother heritage album. But decided to get ahead start on my grandfather heritage album. I even used some of the giveaway items of Maya Road I won from Craft donkey into one of my layouts. Well I broke down and bought some items on scrapbook(dot)com. They were having a 10% discount on everything in the store. I could kick myself in the butt for buying some more scrapbook items. But at least I'm holding out to my promise since I haven't bought any new scrapbook paper in while. I should get my order probably in by the end of the week. So watch out for another scrapbook haul video post! It'll probably be my last haul for while until I find work! At least I hope it will be. Hope the discount coupon don't call my name again! :P
Hope you all enjoy the pictures and video of my layout.

Little haul of stuff!

Hey everyone...

How your Thursday going? My Thursday is going well I finally "cut" into my Heirloom paper stack. I think it funny I was looking through the paper stack and decided to cut the paper of tags and numbers of one of the papers in the pack. As I was tearing the paper out of the stack I caught myself saying. Do I really want to cut this paper? It is pretty and a cool design. I then said heck! yeah why did I buy this paper if I'm not going to cut into it.

Anyways, today I went out into the world to use my 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby and Joann's I got in my email. I got some good items. There were few I couldn't find but can get those online. I was going to go to Joann's but heard that I could use a Joann's coupon at Michael's. So all in all it was a good day. I got what I wanted and got to get out and breath some fresh air for a change. Here some photos of the items and including a haul video of me yet again showing off my wonderful supplies. Aren't you guys just tried of seeing my face on camera!??? lol. Hope you all have a good day and enjoy the photos and video.

Hobby Lobby is the first place I stop to...

Then Michaels was the last place I stop the pic above and the two
below are what I got at Michaels.
